The future does not arrive in one day. The future creeps in slowly, viscously, like a northern dawn. Unlike dawns, the future is formed in the present. We, the people of today, are constantly doing an exercise to pull it closer to us. Without an image of the future, it is unclear where to move. There are subconscious, intuitive ways to draw the future, and there are more conscious, structured methodologies. Designers and I practice these periodically.
