Google recently presented a new chip for quantum computing, and everyone rushed to their sofas with an enthusiastic echo of ideas about a bright future. Quantum optimists, it turns out. Quantum optimists (QO), however, do not really parse comments that highlighted the probabilities of such a future arriving. In the name of ethics, our editorial office will not publish those Facebook threads where QO keeps replying to numerous comments as if not noticing their connectedness. Let us not be like newly minted QO, but be like good old QO (Captains Obvious). And Vastrik's post about quantum computers will help us with this. I like the language he writes in and the jokes
