I like how we made the mini-player. You can handle virtual entities fairly freely, especially when they are already established. The fewer visual images, objects, details, and different kinds of noise, the simpler the interface is perceived. Often a designer's work is finding such a layout, such relationships between objects, where meanings are conveyed precisely with the minimum number of expressive techniques. Thanks to our experience using music apps, we easily understand: the upper part is the player, the lower part is navigation. The track progress bar serves as a natural separator here; in this minimalist construction there is no need to further separate the upper player interface from the lower tab bar. The black background sends the player and tab bar controls to the background and "glues" them to the phone screen; they seem to become system-level. The content gets more focus.
