The app "Bring people together" and the app "self-care" At what point did design turn toward endless identical sets of white blocks on a gray background? Yes, I am 30 and I feel like grumbling a little. More precisely, thinking out loud together: How does it happen that the world simultaneously becomes a place of endless intertainment, where kawaii seeps into notifications from government agencies, where in the evening you choose whether to watch Squid Game, eat chips, or tap a hamster, and decide to do all of it at the same time. And at the same time, somewhere right here, the design environment came to drawing endless white blocks on a gray background. Or is all this just a continuation of attempts to feel out the territory, its size, and the boundaries of what is allowed? 🤔
